FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
To Be Considered For MSC Financial Assistance:
The request and supporting documents must be completed and submitted by the first week of August for the Fall soccer session or the first week of March for the Spring session. If applying in August, MSC will not require a second application by the first week of March.
The Muscatine Soccer Club (MSC) offers a limited amount of financial assistance each soccer year for players participating in the MSC Travel Team Program. MSC determines the amount of financial assistance based on income and financial need (shown on the table below), NOT on soccer or athletic ability. Funds are raised by the voluntary efforts of MSC members.
HOW TO APPLY
1. Applicants must complete financial aid section of Playmetrics Registration Site
2. *Upload or provide a copy of the first two pages of the most current year federal income tax returns that clearly shows number of dependents and adjusted gross income (AGI). Please note this information is kept confidential within the financial assistance committee. If not uploaded, please e-mail to [email protected]
3. Paperwork received after the deadlines stated above may not be considered for financial assistance.
INCOME ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES
To receive the maximum amount of financial assistance, the household AGI must be below the Department of Agriculture income eligibility guidelines for free meals. The committee may award assistance if AGI is higher than the amounts shown below if there are extenuating circumstances e.g. loss of job, medical expenses, etc. The following is only a general guideline for determining assistance:

MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE THAT THE MSC CAN AWARD AN INDIVIDUAL
If awarded the maximum amount of assistance, the assistance will cover the MSC coaching/admin fee, the MSC facility fee, and team league fees for fall and spring/summer*. The Committee may also award partial assistance to applicants. All players receiving financial assistance, even those receiving full assistance, are still responsible for some expenses as stated below. _______ Initial

Maximum assistance does NOT include the uniform fees, and your personal travel expenses to and from practices, and tournaments (11U and above may have some out of state tournaments).

COMMITMENT EXPECTATIONS
Each age group for the MSC Travel Program has commitment expectations for practice, league games, and tournament attendance. Players receiving financial assistance must meet the same expectations as all of our year-round players. They must complete the same minimum number of practices, league games, and tournaments. In addition, all players receiving financial assistance will be expected to volunteer in the club’s home tournament, World Cup & Academy, Skills, MSC Community Events and any annual fundraiser that may be held.
